Lions Recycle for Sight Australia is part of the Lions Clubs International Worldwide Eyeglass Recycling Program and is headquartered in Queensland and operating throughout Australia and overseas.

Our club’s part in the Program is quietly achieved under the guidance of the project’s leader, Lion Simon. Simon is seen here packaging up another box of used spectacles for shipping to Queensland. There they will be sorted and graded and then forwarded to countries in need.

In September he sent a box of 185 glasses to the Lions Recycling Centre and in December he sent another 2 boxes of 330 pairs of glasses.

Our Club would like to acknowledge the assistance of Unique Optical Optometrists in Manuka, who have supported our efforts in collecting used spectacles.
